Hello, old friend. I lost you when my hard drive crashed last month. And when I learned a valuable lesson.

Back up.

Back up.

Back up.

I was smart enough to keep CDs of some important items but losing all your favorite internet links, email files, and the junk you store, well, it hurts.

I thought these files were lost forever, too. But here they are, including my very first (I hope not last) novel. It may be terrible but I wrote it and consider it an accomplishment.

Lots of the things I lost I'm well rid of. But every once in a while, I recover a treasure.
